Gstarcad Trial Reset: Save Time and Effort with This Simple Feature

Mirekusoft Install Monitor is one install monitor that you can use to perform this function. It has the advantage of being free, and it tracks everything a program installs and the locations where the files are installed. You can then forensically uninstall or delete every file once you uninstall the trial, which should allow you to reinstall trial software after the free trial has ended.

Using a third-party uninstaller such as Revo Uninstaller or IObit Uninstaller removes every file from everywhere. If the trial program leaves a certificate file or other resource to prevent reinstallation, these apps should find and delete it.

The Windows registry is an enormous database of stored values describing just about every aspect of every piece of software and hardware on your machine. Many programs will leave traces of themselves in the registry, even if you use the included uninstaller. Even a file uninstaller might not get every registry entry, particularly if the setup and uninstall programs were designed to leave a registry entry hidden somewhere to prevent double-runs of the trial software.

However, this is relatively easy to defeat. All you have to do is take a snapshot of your Windows Registry before you install the trial for the first time. Then install and use the trial, and when the time period runs out, uninstall it, then restore the Registry to the saved values it had before the trial. However, note that this has the potential of getting your PC into a confused state, as any other changes that other programs have logged to the Registry in the meantime will also be lost.

My final tip for reinstalling trial software after the free trial has ended is to use a virtual machine. These are useful in many different situations, but when it comes to trialing new applications they really shine. Not only do they prevent the software from messing with your main operating system, they also prevent any security issues and can be quickly deleted and reinstalled to keep any trial running for as long as you need it to.

Trial software is basically a program you download and use for a certain period of time. The software may include full or limited features. Whenever you install trial software, entries are downloaded into the registry much like other applications. To remove the entries and clean the registry, you have to first uninstall the trial application. Cleaning and removing trial software registry entries after uninstalling helps minimize the possibility of future registry problems.

Run a registry cleaner program immediately after uninstalling the trial software to remove the entries from the registry. Download and install a free registry cleaner such as CCleaner (see "Resources," below) if you do not have a registry cleaner program.

Launch the program after it has installed and click the "Registry" button on the left panel. Place a check on all the options under "Registry Integrity," then click "Scan for issues." CCleaner will scan the registry for entries left over by the uninstalled trial software.

Backing up and resetting the custom settings cleans the registry information of GstarCAD program and backs up the Local folder and Roaming folder in the path C:\Users\username\AppData, and then deletes the Local folder and Roaming folder. Restarting GstarCAD after resetting generates new Local folder and Roaming folder.

Reset custom settings cleans the registry information of GstarCAD program and deletes the Local folder and Roaming folder. Restart GstarCAD after resetting, and new Local and Roaming folders will be regenerated.

Note: In rare cases, an Autodesk product may require you to update your license type when you convert a trial to a subscription. See Updating your license type when converting a trial to a subscription.

If you are unable to run the desktop subscription (rental) product and your contract has not expired, then your license may have become corrupted. By renaming or deleting the ADUT folder it will reset the desktop/rental licensing. If you are assigned to use the desktop subscription license and you are logging in using the correct email address, then you may need to reset the rental license.

You might think to yourself, how does the shareware knows how many days left in the trial period? Most of the time these commercial and freeware protectors drop some information somewhere deep inside your computer after installation so they know when it was installed and then comparing with the official current time pulled from the Internet. It is possible to find the location that records that information by using file or registry monitoring software including third party uninstaller software such as Revo Uninstaller but it can be tedious and frustrating work.

As the name might suggest, RunAsDate performs a trick on the trial software that has expired by injecting the time and date you specify into its process. This has a similar effect to manually setting your system clock to a different time and date, but in this instance your real clock remains unchanged. RunAsDate can also have multiple instances of its program running at once, and each one can have a separate date, all different to the real one.

Do note that Trial-Reset does not modify the shareware in anyway. It simply cleans the registry keys generated by the protectors which are normally not removed even after uninstalling the software. This is how a lot of shareware knows you have no trial period left, even if you uninstall and re-install the program again. Trial-Reset is very easy to use. To start scanning, simply click on the All located at the bottom left. The scanning will take a while since some of the methods require scanning the hard drive. The right pane will show all the detected keys that are used by any shareware titles.

You can backup, view or delete the keys, add to protect or auto cleaning list from the right click context menu. If you have a lot of shareware installed, there will be quite a number of results and you will need to do a trial and error to find the key that is associated with the software that you want to reset the trial period.

Any body know how to reset trail date keyI look at the ResEdit only show date I try to download again yesterdayI want to know where is date it compair so I can change that dateHave to be 30 day Less than current dateI greatly appreciated if some can tell me where in registry I can change

i downloaded and installed the 2016 AutoCAD free trial however that has just run out. I am hoping to re-install the trial so i can add some more drawings to my resume and have a portfolio of examples.

I suppose if you wiped your system clean and reinstalled your operating system, maybe you could reinstall the trial version again? Maybe? But do you really want to go to all that trouble just for another 30 days of use?

Solution: Each user account on a system has its own AutoCAD settings. Resetting to defaults only affects the currently active user account. To reset in a different account, you must first log in as that user.

For most versions of AutoCAD 2012 and later (including AutoCAD-based products), the reset utility is in the AutoCAD program group located in the Windows Start menu. The reset utility gives you the option to back up your settings first. Once the reset is complete, AutoCAD automatically opens and initiates a secondary installer. 2ff7e9595c
